General Questions

Peakware Academy is an offshoot of Peakware Consulting and one of the most trusted training firm in the region is inception, we have been relied upon by our clients, small and large, private and public, to develop their human capital in a range of management and technical fields, using an ever-expanding portfolio of products and services. Our innovative and diversified training courses and consulting services are designed and delivered by subject matter experts who are competent in providing solutions relevant to this region and applicable to today’s business challenges.

Your company will be invoiced and we accept a variety of payment methods, including credit cards, bank transfers, banker’s draft, deposit and cheque. Send us proof after payment for confirmation.

The fees cover the training, certificate, material (hard and soft copies), tea and coffee breaks as well as a buffet lunch every day.

Yes. We have a number of discount schemes which vary depending on the number of registrations and other factors. Please call us and we will be happy to share these with you.

We have trained hundreds of delegates since we started. This number keeps on growing thanks to the loyalty of our clients who keep coming back to us because of our reliability.

While in-person training has been our “bread and butter” for years, we have expanded our offering to virtual, live online courses in the spring of 2020 to offer more flexibility for learning during the COVID-19 crisis. The content of the virtual training is similar to the in-person content, with some tweaks to the presentation to make it better for online consumption. As always, we will share presentation materials with attendees for later reference.

The online courses are not on-demand and recordings cannot be purchased. They are set on scheduled dates, live with an instructor and co-host via webinar software. Virtual attendees also have the option to schedule a 30 min follow up call with the instructor, instead of our standard “Get Out of Jail Free card.

All registered attendees will be given instructions related to webinar software and technology recommendations prior to the start of the training week.

To get a head start, you can download the most recent version of Zoom. Attendees will have mic and webcams disabled upon entering the meeting, but can disable those features as needed for exercises. For the most part, the trainer will rely on the chat box in the meeting to talk to attendees.

In-person training officially starts at 9 a.m. and includes at least two breaks as well as lunch, served around noon. The trainer will wrap up class around 4 p.m. to leave time for questions and discussion.

Online training begins at 10 a.m. and runs until 3 p.m. with a lunch break from 12-12:30. The trainer will schedule a break or two in the morning and afternoon as the class needs it.

We do not have a dress code for training, but most people prefer business casual.

Yes, everyone who comes will be given the materials in the class to follow along with the presentation and demonstrations.

Yes! We do not provide laptops at training, and having access to the internet is vital. Laptops are highly recommended over tablets or smartphones because the Google platforms work best in a laptop/desktop environment.

Additionally, if you’re using a company laptop, please check with your IT department about potential issues with Wifi and firewalls. Everyone will be required to use Wifi during class, so having those permissions in place will make the morning go smoother! Please have the Chrome browser installed for the best browsing experience.

The number of courses you choose to take during the week depends on your style of learning. Some attendees feel like two or three days of learning is their max, while others spend five days in class and power through to the end. To make the most of your time with us, we pack the 8 hours each day with information as well as provide time to answer specific questions.

The maximum number of participants for practical training sessions depends on the number of workstations on our training system. For theoretical training courses, the maximum number of participants is limited to the number of seats in the training rooms.

Come with an open mind to learn, relearn and unlearn. Writing materials and training documents are provided on site.

During the training, you get drinks, snacks and lunch free of charge.

Public Training Courses Questions

We offer in excess of 100 courses every year in a variety of locations across the country and outside country.

Our limit is 30 participants. In busier seasons we make exceptions to accommodate loyal clients.

Courses start at 9:00 am and end at 4:00 pm after the buffet lunch.

Peakware Academy relies on a variety of training and facilitation methodologies and techniques. Used whenever applicable, these methods aim to enhance individual and group interaction while maximizing learning.
Some of these methods are:

  • brief presentations by the consultant
  • group debriefs
  • individual and team exercises, indoors and outdoors
  • behavior modeling and role-plays
  • one-to-one and group discussions
  • case studies, simulations and small projects
  • video films, videotaping and playback
  • self-analysis questionnaires and learning instruments
  • individual action plans (to follow up and evaluate training results

The decision as to whether the training is to be held or not is made no later than two weeks prior to the start of the training (minimum number of participants). If the training is canceled, registered participants will be notified in writing. The training course will be rescheduled, if possible.

Direction and address to the training location will be sent to you via email a week before the training, once your reservation is confirmed by the training coordinator.

You will receive confirmation of your course registration by email. Your registration is only complete when payment is confirmed.

Parking is free at our training locations. Parking lot will be provided to all delegates who comes with their private car

Yes, the trainer will hand out a certificate on the last day of the training.

Certainly! Please contact customer service and we will send an invoice in your company’s name.

Our core practice is to add value to our clients. Our team is happy to provide you support from providing advice on course delivery to answering any questions you may have. We are confident that our course materials are well written and easy to use. But, if any further support or clarifications are needed, we will be happy to help you in any way we can. Please do not hesitate to contact us via our email address or phone call.

Class size is limited and employees will be admitted into classes on a first-come first-serve basis. Employees who wish to sign up for classes that are full will be put on a waiting list or asked to attend the class on a different date.

As a training participant or registering party, you are responsible for booking the accommodation. However, for delegates from far distance, we recommend you book for hotel close to the training location for proximity.

We certainly understand that unexpected circumstances may prevent attendees from making their scheduled class, but we do not issue refunds if it is less than two weeks from the start of training. We will work with you to reschedule your course for another date.

Yes, you can send a colleague in your place at no cost if you are unable to make it to training. Please give our office a call or email training@peakwareacademy.com to let us know of the change so the trainer is aware!

For the training fee, please refer to the training calendar for each course. The training fee comprises extensive training documents auxiliary material as well as snacks and lunch. We will send the invoice to your company before the training course.

Our training will be a combination of theoretical and practical on each topic. We also provide live exposure on projects and give assignments/class work to test your assimilation skill sets.
